About

Welcome to a place of comfort. You did not stumble upon this page by accident. You were brought here for some reason — to be inspired, to help you reflect, to remind you and to make you realize just how blessed we all are.

I have been writing on the internet since 1995. A lot of things have happened in the last 11 years — good things and not-so-good things, as well. I write for several sites. I write about things that interest me, about my family, about our travels, about things which may be of help to other people. Writing is something that I thoroughly enjoy and I am glad when I can be of help to a friend that I have yet to meet.

In the past few months, I have had a little more time to myself and for my family. I have been blessed with more time for reflection, introspection, relaxation. It is then that I got to thinking about putting up a site which will be about only “good things.” About all the blessings we receive. Small blessings. Bigger gifts. Miracles. I personally believe that everything that we receive in life (or everything that is taken away, for that matter) is a blessing. It may not look like a blessing at the outset, but years from now, you will realize that God is surely watching over you. Even as you face difficult (or even pleasant situations), His great plans are in motion. You just need to watch, wait, and trust with all the faith you can muster.

In the coming days, I will be sharing with you the following:

1. Prayers
2. Books, Video, and Products and Causes Worth Supporting
3. Events and Feasts
4. Bible Reading Reflections
5. Stories

I invite you to share your stories and insights too. None of us is so troubled so as not to have anything to share about how God has been good to us or how He moves mysteriously in our lives.

So, please drop by once in awhile to ponder all the blessings that come our way. At this point, I wish to share with you a favorite quote of mine from Onofre Pagsanghan, an outstanding and multi-awarded teacher from the Ateneo de Manila High School:

“Isa-isahin, himay-himayin ang Kanyang mga pagpapapadala. Sa pagbabalik-diwa, mamamangha na lahat nga naman sa buhay ko at sa buhay mo ay biyaya. Pati yaong lihis sa ating mga hiniling, sa pagbabalik-tanaw, higit palang magaling.”

Here’s a rough translation:

“Review one by one and evaluate the things that He sends. As you recall these things, you will be amazed that everything in my life and in your life is indeed a blessing. Even events that were contrary to what we asked for, in hindsight, left us better off.”

Have a blessed day and life everyone. God is always with you.
